Whoever programmed that, have a hug!

Sometimes I feel like @Septus feels like this when fighting people:

wit beyond measure is a Sidhe's greatest treasure

I heart being privileged to care for people in the moments leading to their death; it continues to be a profound experience to witness the resilience of the human spirit in the face of suffering.

I heart being privileged to work with junior colleagues who are reliable and cheerful in the face of challenging circumstances.

I heart living next to the ocean.

edit: I also heart this song, as strange as the lyrics are:

wit beyond measure is a Sidhe's greatest treasure

Crafted from a nice piece of bright-yellow paper, this crown was made to fit the top of the Anti-Magick's King
of Love's head. Several red hearts have been drawn onto the surface, their centre's coloured haphazardly as if
by a child. Sparkling diamond dust been scattered across its surface, allowing it to reflect light that graces
    its surface.
    It is strangely weightless.
It bears the distinctive mark of Theophilus.
(Ring): Lartus says, "I heard Theophilus once threw a grenade and killed ten people."
(Ring): Lartus says, "Then it exploded."

(Ring): Zsetsu says, "Everyone's playing checkers, but Theophilus is playing chess."

If I had any criticism at all for the event its that I couldn't really figure out how to get stuck in, so I just watched others from the sidelines.  It seemed really neat though.  (It probably wasn't too hard though, I'm just blonde as hell sometimes)

    Paper crown is best crown.

I heart discovering that @Juran read the Lone Wolf gamebooks like I did.

Lots of childhood memories for a series that eventually developed a fairly extensive lore.

Finding silly little things like these in my colour logs, in the midst of heated combat against @Shou and @Ultrix:

I both hate and heart that sinking feeling in your chest when you finish reading/watching something you got really immersed in, knowing you'll never be able to experience that world again for the first time.

A sparkling wheel slows down to a halt, rewarding you with a bell depicting a mighty sandstorm and 750 Credits.

Now how many credits did you spend to get that?

This was on my second spin. I then proceeded to spin about 30-40 more times.

Spend $44.00, spin the wheel, let Ahkan kick me several times, win 500 credits.

    I'll take it!

I'm up to 60-70 spins, like 30 familiars, and no credits.

I bought five spins. Won 500 on my third spin.

I went for one last spin before bed, trading in my troggle and an artifact upgrade token.

You take and tradein an artifact upgrade token, receiving 33 Bound Credits in preparation for a later purchase.
You take and tradein a bulbous troggle, receiving 20 Bound Credits in preparation for a later purchase.
You have purchased 1 Wheel of Fortune spins. Have fun!

You deftly spin a sparkling wheel. It begins whirling rapidly, emanating a loud clacking noise.

A sparkling wheel slows down to a halt, rewarding you with 500 Credits and a gleaming phylactery.

As you tentatively open the small box, it bursts into brilliant golden light that blinds you completely. As
your vision slowly clears, a weak, quavering voice says, "I may be gone, Theophilus, but you shall take a
    piece of me with you..."
You have been granted an artifact upgrade token, a tattered map of the Isle of Llus and 10 Credits.

I'd say that's value. I'd love a map to Llus. Plus the upgrade token. Along with 510 credits. Nice!

The wheel really is a "true" gambling promo I think.  If you like gambling and you like trinkets, fun and worth it, but unless you are super lucky, or who knows, possibly super smart (some of the repeated wins are just uncanny, but really, are probably just luck), I don't think I'd be expecting to break even in absolute terms, much less get a huge payday.  With stuff like this, I usually buy a few for fun, and that's about it.  And it is fun to spin a few times.  And with this one, if you buy your credits in bulk like I do, it's actually very competitive to buy some spins with credits vs. buying off website.

With any gambling system that's cannily designed, there's a threshold of investment where it will start to pay out better.  Not that I know how Impy's is designed, but with most casino games of that nature are a game of finding the break and determining if the odds and payouts make the trek to the breaks worthwhile.
This is why casinos really, really hate mathematicians.

Yeah, definitely.  With IRE, "gambling" promos sort of vary.  A lot of them tend to have very good, but not -amazing- returns in the past year or two.  Those ones are my favorite.  The second tier stockings were like that.  This one feels more like a "real" gambling promo.  Higher risk of not breaking even, possibly very high reward.  Although, even with a "real" gambling promo like this, I feel they've made efforts to make "losing" feel less painful.  If you're losing, it's not "awful".  As well, if we had more people who were just gaga over vanity pets (which some of the games do), all of the trinkets could actually be quite profitable.  But here, we have more people who are like "does it help me stabby stab harder"?  Or, like me, they -like- vanity pets, for example, but we don't like them 50+ credits worth.
