Because we asked for it to be deleted. They hate deleting skills. The problem is that Devotion doesn't really need anything.

Rite of Cleansing: While this rite is present in a room, all adventurers who pass through the location will be cleansed of the dust and grime they have picked up during their travels. Works great for removing unpleasant odors!
Problem: Classes with runes are balanced around using runes. Yes, this is kind of shady. It's also outside the scope of classleads. Currently, emblazon does more damage based on the number of runes you have active. Aka: It can add 50 damage to a single slash. This is higher than soulquench, which has a depressing set up time and low duration.
Proposed solution: Step 1: remove the damage per active rune. Emblazon will just do damage if you have active runes with the same proc chance.
Step 2: Pair in a classlead with cleansing. Remove passive def strip. Make cleansing increase the chance to proc of emblazon. Aka: Cleansing filthy magic user via death.
Tidalslash. While we aren't having a renaissance on par with the Golden Age of tidal chains, something is going on with the damage formula and/or interaction with sitara types where the damage is out of whack (let's put aside for a moment the relative speed that a sitara is charged). On two different occasions, I was hit for 65%-67% of my max health and I didn't have sensitivity. I am all for adding a good finisher to the current menu of standing CC combos and quarter spam, but this seems a bit extreme even to a guy who likes extreme things (RIP True Name).
“We abjure labels. We fight for money and an indefinable pride. The politics, the ethics, the moralities, are irrelevant."
Well, tidal slash scales (in theory 40% before sensitivity modifier?), but I imagine your remaining 35% health puts you in far worse straights than mine.
“We abjure labels. We fight for money and an indefinable pride. The politics, the ethics, the moralities, are irrelevant."
Tidalslash scaling sounds like something I'd like to test with both of you because 63-67% sounds very very wrong. I was unaware it adopted the element of the sitara, if you are claiming that.

Arachnid web into pindown and pommelwhip into pindown.
In the Beta, we successfully pushed for Summoner not to have on demand CC with stopping heave/hangedman. Now we need to address AM's access to it.
Also apologies for the double post, but while Web-PD is a valid concern, Pwhip is not.. pwhip has a cost in that you must be hidden - putting hide back up involves escaping the fight to give your opponent a breather. It is no more on demand than Unleash Hangedman.

I don't recall the exact log, but the raw damage was right around 50% of my max health. So it is adopting something.

Making spider web hit torch/quicksilver would be fine. Then it just becomes a glorified web tattoo and can fade into relative obscurity. Alternatively it could just be removed, but people would probably just faceroll their web macro then instead.
Another problem with pommelwhip is that it 100% leads into pindown. As fast in assassin, you can't bind off backstab and also backstab requires a wind-up. Perhaps Pommelwhip should require a wind-up as well and not guarantee a pindown.
Pwhip isn't a big offender to me, because piety effects and walls and floods and such can make the pwhip/leave/hide/enter/repeat thing a lot more time consuming than it normally is.
My main problem is actually with Buttstrike's role as a spammable uncon and the way it forces you to lock parry on your head while the monks/predators tunnel down your legs.
"On the battlefield I am a god. I love war. The steel, the smell, the corpses. I wish there were more. On the first day I drove the Northmen back alone at the ford. Alone! On the second I carried the bridge! Me! Yesterday I climbed the Heroes! I love war! I… I wish it wasn’t over."
With aeon having bitten the dust, I think my next goal will be removing unconsciousness, because it has the same problems aeon did; namely, it's a spammable CC effect with a 100% command lockout.

Even I, with my tenuous understanding of balance, wouldn't suggest anything besides delete it. Getting rid of uncon sounds fine, honestly.

So, what about that stupid predator thing that knocks weapons to the ground? It's really annoying to have to pick up a weapon mid-fight, especially if multiple of the same weapons have dropped, and then you're trying to sort out which one is yours. Yes, you can set a trigger for it, but it's terrible for newer players when the weapon just gets snatched off the ground by the predator they're fighting against.
Can't we just make that thing so it goes to your inventory instead, or something similar instead of dropping to the ground?
Its a quality of life change, but I agree with Gurn. In fact, didn't they already do this for mobs disarming you? Functionally, the only difference between it dropping to the ground and it dropping into your inventory is that the attacker can't steal it before you pick it up, and Imperian is anti-theft anyway.
Like you already mentioned, there are so many ways to stop it that the only people this effects are lowbies, so arguing against it just makes it sound like you like stealing from children. Probably kicking puppies too.
This has been classleaded before and bugged. Here's hoping the 3rd time is the charm!
Started in this room: Monarch Square. (Khandava Council.?)
Upon her order, Vaya's Ouroboros gathers its arms into its chest, and throws them out from itself in an explosion of concussive force.
You are blasted out of the room to the west by the force.
Monarch Square. (Khandava Council.?)
West of Monarch Sqaure is Entering Monarch Square. (Khandava Council.) *suspicious*
Edit: @Kalon@Gurn Who is abusing any disarms on magickal novices to such a degree that you're clamoring to delete all of the things? If it's that big of a problem, talk to the AM leadership. One of two things will happen. They'll fix it or they'll prove that they're hypocritical dongs. Regardless of outcome, we win.
I'm all for removing disarm abilities, BUT people claim they don't delete anything. They'll suggest unnecessary upgrades under the guise of preserving skill continuity.

Haha.
You can enter commands while hang-manned.

We totally should have classleaded pindown out of the predator combos. (we did)

Option 1: Mimick aeon change. Any damage done in x time frame is relapsed. <-- Cadeyrn will submit this.
Option 2: Spin off aeon change. Any entangle/transfix done in x time frame will be relapsed. <-- Sarrius will submit this.

Write better novice files?
